Silica Fabrics

Silica Fabrics for Extreme Temperatures

Our woven amorphous high-temperature silica fabrics range from 18 oz/yd² to 42 oz/yd² and can be coated with silicone rubber or vermiculite. We also offer aluminized silica fabrics for applications requiring radiant heat protection. Silica fabrics offer thermal protection for temperatures to 1800°F (980°C) and won’t melt until temperatures exceed 3000°F (1650°C). In addition, silica cloth has excellent electrical insulation properties and resistance to chemicals and solvents.

Silica fabrics are commonly used in the energy, marine, and metals industries, with applications including welding blankets and curtains, expansion joints, and valve covers.
